Following on from our last blog post - It’s a Cats Life - we received this photo (to the right) of another interesting use of an exterior blind, this time a patio awning.
The photo shows what can only be described as a chilled out dog, happy relaxing in the cool shade created from a patio awning.
Whilst I’m sure the owners of this patio awning purchased it to provide shade and shelter to them, their family and their friends on the terrace along with keeping the heat off their heavily glazed façade, in turn keeping the internal room cool and glare free, it looks like their dog is making the most of it too. What better way to enjoy the summer sun than laying sprawled out on the patio, without a worry in the world, safe and protected under a patio awning.
We’ve also been made aware of folding arm awnings mounted on a Dogs Trust rehoming centre, used to stop the kennels overheating and provide a dry area for the dogs to play, walk, run, lay.... aswell as offering shelter to people looking at the dogs when they are in the kennels…. If we can get our hands on these photos we’ll make sure we post them up.
So does your pet make the most out of your patio awning? Or have you seen a bizarre use of external blinds? We would love to hear about it and even better still if you have photos we’ll post them up.
